The JZ-2 WR model is designed to resemble classic jazz guitars of the mid-20th century, featuring a single cutaway, a maple body with a laminate spruce top, and a set maple neck with a rosewood fretboard. The guitar is equipped with two humbucker pickups, a three-way pickup selector switch, and two volume and two tone controls for each pickup.
