The Ibanez TMB30 is a short scale electric bass guitar with a classic design and great sound at a very affordable price.
The bass guitar is an instrument that can be uncomfortable to play at a younger age, for musicians with smaller hands or even for guitarists used to smaller necks. The Ibanez TMB30 is the practical, comfortable and stylish solution for all these situations.
With a design inspired by the Talman instrument series, created by Ibanez in the 90s and inspired by the vintage models that populated the alternative music stages of the time, the TMB30 has an unmistakable and elegant look.
Constructed of poplar wood, the body of the Ibanez TMB30 has an ergonomic cutout, and is not too heavy. It features two passive pickups, an off-line Dynamix P and a Dynamix J in the bridge, which can be controlled independently, allowing for greater sonic versatility and a very rich, vintage tone.
The neck is in maple, with a 20-fret fingerboard in jatoba, a species native to South and Central America, and is smaller than what we are used to seeing on bass guitars. The Ibanez TMB30’s fingerboard measures 762mm, or 30 inches, while the usual measurement for a long-scale bass is around 34 inches. The neck profile is rounded, which, together with its dimensions, make it very comfortable to play.
