D'Addario PL010-5 is a high carbon steel guitar string with a gauge of .010 inches (or 0.25mm). It is a plain steel string used as the high E string on a set of extra light gauge electric or acoustic guitar strings, preferred by some players for its easier bending and lighter feel, but may be more prone to breaking or producing less volume than thicker strings.
